Diet discipline is needed most when it comes to desserts and snacking. But, those types of foods, in moderation, can be a healthy part of your diet. Lulu and I usually fit a couple healthy snacks in our day. I take what I call my “peanut butter fix” in mid-afternoon. It is one teaspoon of crunchy, natural peanut butter. Wouldn’t it be hard for a baseball player to play without a glove? Football would certainly be difficult (and painful) if a football player didn’t wear a helmet. Beyond material equipment, there are other prerequisites for fitness activities, like proper form and health.
